I-Con
In April 2002, some of the members ventured to New York to attend I-Con, one of the largest science fiction and fantasy conventions in the U.S. There, they met actor Billy Boyd (Pippin Took).

Just before I-Con, some lucky members were able to catch actor Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) signing his photography book Sign Language.

Comicon
In August 2002, while loose at the largest comic book and pop culture convention in the U.S., some of the members took in some LotR-related sights, including actor Dominic Monaghan (Merry Brandybuck).

Chuck was fortunate enough to attend a poetry reading by actor Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) at the Midnight Special bookstore in Santa Monica, California.

On September 11th 2002, some of the members attended a presentation for the United Day of Service hosted by actor Sean Astin (Sam Gamgee) in Washington DC.

Billy Boyd at Medicine Hat Film Festival
On March 13 2003, actor Billy Boyd (Pippin Took) attended the Medicine Hat Film Festival in Alberta, Canada. During his presentation of Scottish short film 'Sniper 470', LotR Fan Art member Silme was able to get a few pics.

Comicon
In July 2003, some of the members were once again unleashed upon Comicon, the largest pop culture expo in the United States.
